Use it ... Don't Lose It

Use it ... Don't Lose It

Now, what I'm about to tell you is going to blow your mind. Wait for it.... I'm going to give you 4 tips on how to utilize the make-up you already own in more ways than one. First, I know you have a foundation product in that stash that is probably too light or too dark for your current tone. Is it too light? If so, you can use it as a highlighter in areas of the face to create dimension. Dab your finger into a very little amount of foundation and place on the forehead between the eyes and also at the high parts of the cheek bone. Continue to blend out with your finger or a brush. If the foundation is a darker shade. Give yourself a glamorous contour by dabbing with your finger or by using a brush at the hollows of the cheeks. Always remember to set your foundation with powder so it stays in place!

Secondly, do you have a pink toned eyeshadow that doesn't compliment your eyes at all? Use it as a blush! Grab your favorite blush brush. Dip into the eyeshadow and lightly swipe up and down in a diagonal motion on the cheek area. Is your shadow super pigmented and now your cheeks are way too rosy? That's ok! Blend over it with some loose powder and you're as good as new.

Third, are you wanting to make your lips look fuller and more voluptuous? Rock a sexy lip with this super quick tip. It literally will take you 2 seconds to do. Apply your lip pencil first so that you give that lipstick a base to stick to. Go over the liner with your lip stick. Lastly, dip your finger into a shimmery shadow or highlight and pop that right into the center fold; one at the top lip and one at the bottom. BAM! Baby, you've got fuller lips instantly!

Last tip is on eyes. Who wants a sexy, sultry smokey eye? Say "I!" Now, I know you own a black eye-liner pencil and/or eye-liner gel. With the pencil (or your finger if you are using gel), draw right on top of your lid smudging sporadically but be careful not go past your crease. It's sporadic so this step doesn't have to look pretty and a little ALWAYS goes a long way. Don't worry about it not being "pretty." Take your ring finger and dab your eyelids. Allow the warmth from your finger to spread the color throughout the lid. I told you those eyes would look sexy! Now, grab an eyeshadow blending brush and go over your lid and slightly into the crease in windshield-wiper motions until you get a nice gradient fade. Now you're set for the holidays!
