Applying False Lashes for the Holidays!

Applying False Lashes for the Holidays!

Have you ever looked at a pair of false lashes and wondered, "How the heck do I put these on?!"  The task can feel like you're climbing up Mount Everest.  Don't worry.  I've got some tips to make it easier on you.  Remove the strip from the cartridge, grab your lash glue and a qtip.  Squeeze only an itty bitty pinch of glue onto the end of the qtip.  Place the qtip's glue onto the base of the strip.  Stroke the glue across so the strip is entirely saturated with the very small amount of glue (a little goes a long way).  The key to this process is giving the glue about 30 seconds to dry before putting it on.  The glue takes time to become tacky, in which the lashes will go on quickly and stay in place.  Just make sure not wait too long.  Then, place the lash in a down and upward motion staying closest to your natural lash line.  Repeat on your second eye.  Another important key to making lashes look fabulously natural (as if they are your own) is to wear eye-liner.  Do this before applying your lashes.  Once you've completed liner and your lashes, grab your favorite mascara and do a quick coat or two to marry your natural lashes with your false.  Voi la!  Feeling fabulous?  Well, that's because you are!

One last thing.  When you're done with your lashes for the day, don't toss them!  Remove the residual glue with your fingers, then spray the lashes with a couple pumps of isopropyl alcohol to sanitize.  Decent quality lashes can usually last you up to 10 wears.  I know; you're welcome! ;).
